*Ethics in Literature (21563). 3 units. This seminar will consider questions of professional responsibility by reflecting upon ethical dilemmas presented in literature and then examining legal analogues. We will read works by, among others, Dickens, Ishiguro, James, Lee, Sophocles, and Soyinka. Each student will write short essays about the readings, as well as a longer paper on a topic of choice related to legal ethics. Enrollment limited. S. L. Carter.
